Cloud Native Architect @ Fides | Designing Microservices & Event-Driven Architectures | AWS | Kubernetes | DevOps | IaC | GenAI

Intro
I’m Alberto Savarese, a Cloud Native Architect at Fides, where I lead a team of engineers in building cloud-native and Generative AI solutions.
With more than 15 years in software architecture, I specialize in designing and delivering modern, distributed systems — from microservices to serverless, ensuring scalability, resilience, and real business value.
What I Do
My role combines technical leadership, solution design, and team management:
- Solution & Application Design – architecting microservices-based systems, applying enterprise integration patterns, and building event-driven architectures.
- Cloud & Serverless Architectures – leveraging AWS (Lambda, Step Functions, EventBridge, EKS, DynamoDB) to create secure, scalable, and cost-efficient solutions.
- Infrastructure as Code – automation and standardization with Terraform, AWS CDK, CloudFormation.
- DevOps & Modernization – CI/CD pipelines, observability, containerization, and cloud migrations to enable fast, reliable delivery.
- Team Leadership – managing and mentoring cross-functional teams to design, build, and deliver innovative projects.
- GenAI & Innovation – integrating Generative AI and Agentic AI into cloud-native workflows to unlock new possibilities.
Experience & Clients
I’ve worked with leading organizations across energy, finance, and retail:
- Enel – designing modern cloud platforms to power critical energy solutions.
- CRIF – architecting secure infrastructures in the financial services industry.
- Walgreens Boots Alliance – leading cloud adoption and modernization at enterprise scale.
These projects strengthened my expertise in mission-critical architecture, system integration, and cloud-native transformation.
